After Lito had left, Mike was alone in that house. He had put the radio on. The more he was thinking about it, the more Mike was invaded by that perfid feeling. That was pervading his mind, his thoughts. The poison was spreading through his veins from the top to the bottom of his body. That had already corrupted his head and his heart. Mike had tried to fight back this snaky feeling but it was already too late. The jealousy had won his battle. 

Mike knew now that Lito was going to dump him. He has a baby now. Lito was going to get back together with Sandra, his wife. The mother of his child. That was making sense. How could it be another way? There was no room for Mike now, not anymore. No more incredible moments of lust between them, no more romantic gestures, no more... love. Just his broken- heart. Million pieces of his broken heart.

On the radio, a Vonda Shepard's song started to resonnate in the house. "What's become of the broken hearted"... That was exactly what Mike was wondering.
